The Lansing JazzFest takes place in the streets of Old Town Lansing, at the intersection of Turner St. and E. Grand River Ave.

There may be construction along your route to the festival - we suggest checking with MDOT for construction information.

Parking

Handicapped-designated parking will be available on E. Grand River near Turner and in a designated parking lot at the northwest corner of E. Grand River and Turner.

There is limited metered parking along Grand River Ave., free from 6 pm through the weekend.

Free unmetered parking is available on streets surrounding the festival area, including the west side of Old Town (connected to the festival area by the Grand River bridge).

Adjacent businesses may offer lot parking for a fee - look for signs.

Bicycle Corral

Lansing's River Trail is a favored route for the community to enjoy a scenic ride. JazzFest guests wishing to head into Old Town via the trail will have an opportunity to use a FREE Family Bicycle Corral provided by Mid-MEAC and staffed by volunteers. Open Friday 4-8 pm and Saturday 1-8 pm near the Brenke Fish Ladder, guests simply check their bikes into this monitored space and check them out when leaving.

Free Shuttle Service

By generous donation from DEAN Transportation, we will have a continuous shuttle running from parking areas elsewhere in central Lansing, providing additional parking options for festival attendees.

Shuttle Stops:

  1. Corner of South Washington Avenue and East Grand River Avenue
  2. Intersection of Washington Square and Michigan Avenue
  3. Lansing Community College Ramp (free), 600 block North Grand Ave.

Shuttle Schedule:
Friday: 5 pm to midnight
Saturday: 2 pm to midnight

River Boat Shuttle & Tours

Avoid the traffic congestion and head to the Lansing JazzFest in style! From 1 pm to 10 pm Saturday, River Boat Taxi Tours will be running a water taxi from the Lansing City Market to Burchard Park (next to the Brenke Fish Ladder in Old Town). For a $1 fare, festival guests can ride to or from the festival on the scenic Grand River.

The river boat will leave from the Lansing City Market every hour on the :00. The riverboat will do a tour of the Old Town river area, leaving from the Burchard Park dock, every hour on the :30.
